“My daughters and I have only had a few sessions at Graceful Oaks, and we’re already seeing positive changes in how we communicate and handle things as a family. Our conversations are clearer, and when conflict comes up we no longer get overly angry with each other, we’re able to talk things through calmly.

My youngest daughter feels more comfortable sharing what she’s thinking and feeling, and her meltdowns have decreased. She seems to be more confident in everything. She’s even begun finding new hobbies and not spending so much time online playing video games or watching YouTube.  My oldest, who has been very resistant to other forms of therapy, looks forward to sessions because she enjoys working with the animals. She’s also made some effort to attend school which she wasn’t doing. She definitely is slower to anger and takes a moment when she gets frustrated before responding.

One of my favorite parts of animal empowerment sessions is how our facilitator notices even the smallest details during our work with the animals and helps us understand why we respond the way we do. She then suggests ways we can make changes that truly improve things at home. I have been surprised at how much has been revealed vs other therapies where I barely learned anything. Working with the animals has also been very calming and a fun way to learn about farm life. We are very grateful for the opportunity to be attending Graceful Oaks and for the positive impact it has already had on our family in such a short time. AMAZING!“
